Our students in the Oral Communication in English subject in 1st Bachillerato have kicked off January with a fun and inspiring 30-day challenge, based on a motivating TED Talk about trying new things and building positive habits. The idea is simple but powerful: choose one challenge and stick with it every single day for a month!
Each student has picked something personal and meaningful to them. Some are cooking something new every day, others are reading ten pages of a book in English, while others have chosen to wake up ten minutes earlier or spend a few minutes meditating before bed. There are many creative challenges, all designed to help students step outside their comfort zone and discover what they are capable of.
Over the next few weeks, students will keep track of their progress and reflect on their experiences. At the end of the challenge, they will create a presentation in English to share what they learned, what was difficult, and what they are proud of. It’s not just about English, it’s about confidence, perseverance, and personal growth too!
We’re really excited to see how everyone gets on and can’t wait to hear their stories at the end. Good luck to all our 1st Bachillerato students! You’ve got this!
