Hello, my name is Adéla Řezáčová and I am 21 years old. I came here from the Czech republic from a really small village. I came to study at La Salle Aravaca University and also to do my practise here at La Salle Institucion. Even though I am not studying to become a teacher but a social worker, I think it is very valuable to gain experience from teaching and dealing with students in a school environment.
I must say that the teachers and most of the students accepted me and welcomed me with open arms and they were very helpful in every way possible. We have done few exercises in each class and I was allowed to tell something about my country and my culture as well, so it would teach students something else apart from the educational.
I have asissted classes between the ages of 16 until adulthood. I only had to speak English so it would make the students talk in English as well. One of the main goal we have tried to achieve with this is that they can see foreigners that can speak multiple languages and they are not afraid to go to another country and live there for a certain amount of time.
So far I really enjoyed my stay here and I have never felt out of place or unwanted here. I am very thankful for my classmates, my university, for my internship, for Bea who is my mentor and helps me with everything and also for the friends I have made here.

Hola, me llamo Adéla Řezáčová y tengo 21 años. Soy de un pequeño pueblo de la república checa. He venido a Madrid para estudiar en la Universidad de La Salle en Aravaca y también para hacer mis prácticas en La Salle Institucion. No estudio para ser profesora sino tabajadora social pero pienso que es muy valioso adquirir experiencia enseñando y hablando con estudiantes en FP.
Tengo que decir que los profesores y la mayoría de los estudiantes me acceptaron y me dieron la bienvenida y me ayudaron. Hemos hecho ejercicios en todas las clases y he podido hablar sobre mi país y mi cultura, lo que considero interesante y educacional.
He estado como asistente en clases con alumnos de edades entre 16 años hasta gente adulta. Solo hablo inglés con los alumnos así que ellos pueden practicar el idioma conmigo. Nuestra meta es enseñar a los estudiantes que gente de otros países pueden hablar muchos idiomas y no necesitan tener miedo de ir a otros países y vivir allá por mucho tiempo.
Me gusta mi experiencia aquí y nunca he sentido que no debería estar aquí o que no quieren que esté. Estoy muy agradecida a mis compañeras de clase, a mi universidad, por mis prácticas, a Bea que es mi mentora y me ayuda con todo y también a los amigos que encontré aquí.
