Last Tuesday October 31 st, we celebrated Halloween, an American tradition we have also adopted in Spain. Lot' s of our students got dressed in costumes and went trick or treating in
their neighbourhood.
We have organized a range of Halloween activities for the students in the different school sections, with the help of our language assistants Ellie and Emilia.
With the younger ones, we enjoyed singing Halloween songs, listening to spooky short stories, and playing an online vocabulary game. For the older Primary students, we played a virtual escape room that challenged them to use Halloween vocabulary and directional language to escape. We also had some friendly competition as they worked in teams to unscramble Halloween-related words.
In the Secondary Education sessions we learned about the importance of Halloween in the American culture and had a lot of fun playing taboo to practice Halloween vocabulary .
It was a great blend of language learning and Halloween fun!
